I used this chain saw one season and it worked great. It ran smoothly and cut easily even on my Post Oak trees. However, today I used it and the motor burned up. It has been sitting on the shelf in the garage since the summer and it ran just fine the last time I used it. I wouldn't recommend it if you want it to last for more than one year.

I bought this thinking it would take down three trees I needed to get rid of. I only hoped it would do the job. It's three years later and I use this saw all the time. It's taken down countless trees, and isn't showing any signs of stress. I'v replaced the chain, and it's like new. I'm usually not a review writer, but in this case I felt that I owed this great product a review.

Obviously, this is not a professional tree cutter's tool. This is for the guy who occasionally has a small project that requires a chainsaw. I bought this three years ago, and I knew it would be a tool that would spend a lot of time on the shelf. That's why I went electric. 2 stroke engines work well when used often and not left to sit. I probably use this thing 3-4 times a year, to cut up broken limbs after a storm, or removing some smaller trees and shrubs. I've also cut larger 10+ inch diameter logs, and it did fine. Highly recommended for light duty like I describe above.
